Daniel Day-Lewis’s Lincoln Is a Big Mad Men Fan

While not texting limericks to his co-stars, it seems like Daniel Day-Lewis while in character as Lincoln just liked to gab about his fave TV shows. Jared Harris explained to the New York Times: “At the end of the day sometimes we’d ride back in the car, and he’d stay in character but talk about Mad Men, which of course he couldn’t know about, because television hadn’t been invented then.”
